Role: Artist
This series of postcard sized drawings was made during the 2020 coronavirus shutdown period in New York. The drawings were inspired by a shifting experience of city and home during that time. The series was conceptualized as a letter exchange with friends who I could no longer see in person due to the social distancing recommendations.
Role: Artist
The Street View Series was created during a residency at GlogauAIR in Berlin, Germany. The central question of the project was “What makes the streets of Berlin feel like Berlin?” The answer is something beyond the prevalence of a certain decorative or design element. It has to do with light and how it interacts with material; it has to do with the mass, form, and composition of buildings. The works emerged out of a practice of close observation and long daily walks through the city streets
Role: Production Coordinator, Essayist
Lumber: The Allure of Construction opened November 2023 and focused on the material of plywood through sculptural exploration of the material’s various forms and associations. Lumber brought together sculpture, writing, furniture and graphic design. Supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and Z/KU, the exhibition featured artworks by Ian Jehle, Carrie Stubbs, and Mario Ego-Aguirre, with graphic design by Nina Vukadin.
